Recognition

Vienna Insurance Group employees also spend countless hours doing voluntary work during their spare time. The number of employees regularly involved in such activities can only be estimated based on the large number of nominations that have been submitted for the Award in Recognition of Commitment to Voluntary Activities, which was introduced in 2013. All employees are invited to nominate colleagues who they know do valuable voluntary work in aid of social causes and help the most vulnerable members of society. The winners are then selected from the nominations.

The award winners 2018 serve their communities on a voluntary basis in a variety of different ways. They work for organisations such as a Down syndrome association, a support service for disabled young people, the Red Cross, an environmental protection group and provide support for single mothers and sick people. – to name but a few.

Wiener Städtische Versicherungsverein presents these awards to highlight the importance of a sense of togetherness and solidarity in the community.
