Albertina

The Albertina is not only home to one of the world’s largest and most important collections of graphic art, but also showcases early modernist masterpieces as part of the Monet to Picasso permanent collection. The Batliner Collection has been part of the Albertina since 2007. Comprising around 500 works and representing seminal moments spanning around 130 years of art history, the collection at the core of the Albertina’s permanent exhibition covers everything from French impressionism to early modernism. In February 2017 the Essl Collection was transferred to the Albertina. With well over 6,000 works, the Essl Collection is one of the largest private collections of contemporary art in the world.

Wiener Städtische Versicherungsverein regularly supports exhibitions at the Albertina, also acting as a sponsor for individual works on show.
