On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of Erste Bank, Wiener Städtische has wrapped the Ringturm with a special message over a large area. On Monday afternoon, 30 September, the top management of both companies accepted the invitation to the official unveiling.
Oversized birthday greeting officially unveiled at the Ringturm.

It took around four weeks to assemble the 3,000 m² birthday greeting at the Ringturm, the headquarters of the Wiener Städtische Insurance Group. On 30 September, this extravagant wrapping on the 20th floor of the Ringturm was officially opened in the presence of the management board of Erste Group, Erste Bank, Wiener Städtische and Vienna Insurance Group (VIG). Erste Group CEO Andreas Treichl and his designated successor Bernhard Spalt were received by the hosts Günter Geyer, CEO of Wiener Städtische Versicherungsverein, and Robert Lasshofer, CEO of Wiener Städtische Versicherung, as well as Erste Group Supervisory Board Chairman Friedrich Rödler, Erste Bank CEO Peter Bosek, Erste Group CEO Stefan Dörfler and Erste Bank CEO Thomas Schaufler. Other guests included the Wiener Städtische management team and the VIG management team headed by Elisabeth Stadler, as well as the board members of the majority shareholder Wiener Städtische Versicherungsverein, Supervisory Board Chairman Klaus Stadler and DONAU General Director Ralph Müller, designated successor to Robert Lasshofer.
Socio-political commitment
“No age, no gender, no status, no nation is excluded from the benefits”. This central sentence of the founding statute of the “Erste oesterreichische Spar-Casse” from 1819 will cover the headquarters of the Wiener Städtische Insurance Group until mid-October. This statement points to the common goal of Erste Bank and Wiener Städtische of contributing to the prosperity of as many people as possible. In addition, the large-format birthday greeting is a visible expression of the close partnership between Wiener Städtische and Erste Bank, which goes far beyond a business cooperation.
