Wiener Städtische Versicherungsverein invites children of Group company employees to Austria to take part in VIG’s Kids Camp. Its key aims, achieved through participation in joint activities, include promoting a better understanding between the generations, social engagement, an international outlook and an appreciation of diversity.
VIG KIDS CAMP 2024
In summer 2024, Wiener Städtische Versicherungsverein invited children of employees from Central and Eastern Europe to the VIG Kids Camps in Austria for the twelfth time.
Around 500 children of VIG employees from 21 European countries spent two exciting weeks at the VIG Kids Camps 2024 in Vienna, Salzburg (St. Michael im Lungau & Radstadt in Pongau) and Seeboden in Carinthia. In addition to hikes, sightseeing, voyages of discovery, extensive play and swimming fun, this year’s programme once again included a visit to a facility for senior citizens. In addition, a joint tree-planting campaign was also organised.
“It’s fascinating to see once again each year that children always find a way to make themselves understood. Even if they don’t speak the same language, or they come from different cultural backgrounds. Which is why – as well as out of deference to our colleagues in the Group – we make this special experience possible for children. We hosted the VIG Kids Camp for the twelfth time this year,” said Chair of the Wiener Städtische Versicherungsverein Managing Board Robert Lasshofer.
“Diversity, tolerance and interacting with one another as peers are essential components of our insurance group’s values compass. And that is precisely what we are teaching the youngest generation as part of the VIG Kids Camp. We therefore deeply support this valuable initiative by our main shareholder,” noted Hartwig Löger, CEO of Vienna Insurance Group.
